FAQ
Do you work directly with insurers?
Yes. We regularly provide detailed, insurance-standard quotations and scopes of works suitable for submission to insurers and loss adjusters. We are experienced in working within insurance claim processes and understand the documentation and clarity required for approval.
Can you provide quotation only?
Yes. We can provide a detailed, itemised quotation for submission to your insurer without obligation to appoint us for the works. Our quotes are structured clearly to assist adjusters in reviewing and approving the claim.
How long does reinstatement take?
The timeframe depends on the extent of the damage, drying requirements, and insurer approval timelines. Minor reinstatement works may take 5-10 working days, whereas full room or structural reinstatements can take several weeks. We provide a clear programme of works once scope is confirmed.
Do you liaise with loss adjusters?
Yes. We are comfortable communicating directly with loss adjusters, surveyors and claims handlers where required. We can provide additional breakdowns, clarifications, photographs and variation reports to support the claim process.
Are you fully insured?
Yes. AWJ Construction Ltd is fully insured with appropriate public liability cover. Insurance certificates and compliance documentation can be provided upon request.
Can you match existing finishes?
We make every effort to match existing finishes as closely as possible to return the property to its pre-loss condition. Where exact materials are discontinued or unavailable, we provide suitable alternatives for approval before proceeding.
Do you charge for site visits?
In most standard residential insurance claims, we do not charge for an initial site visit where works are likely to proceed. For quotation-only inspections or complex assessments, a fee may apply, which
can sometimes be offset against the works if instructed.
Can upgrades be incorporated during reinstatement?
Yes. Insurance reinstatement covers returning the property to its pre-loss condition. However, if a client wishes to upgrade finishes or specifications, we can provide a separate cost for the upgrade element so it is clearly distinguished from the insured scope.
